I replaced the drain pump on my quiet series 100 and the new pump will not come on at all. The wires are connected correctly and the dishwasher runs a full cycle with no problems--except the drain pump does not switch on.

A model number may help others help you.

Sounds like it could be a control board problem.

Check across the drain pump when it should be draining for voltage.
If there is 120 volts and the pump does not run then you received a defective pump.

If there is no voltage.
Check the resistance of the pump winding.
Remove power from the unit.
Check the resistance of the pump winding.
Trace the pump wires back to the control board.
Measure across them at the board.
If you get the same readings as when you meaured just across the pump then it is probably a board problem.
If it is infinite ohms then one of the wires has an open in it.
