I had a burnt prong on the cord of my dryer so I changed the cord but when I started tightening screws back the one on far left WOULD NOT TIGHTEN...it will turn a few turns then acts like its tight but then cord isn't tight against the dryer...help needed......

I am assuming you mean at the terminal block in the unit. You may need a new bolt or nut. Below is a kit. Part number: AP3020386
You will may have to remove the terminal strip to figure out what it causing the problem. I would also recommend that you replace the wall receptacle. If the line cord prong was burned up there is a high probability that the corresponding receptacle is also screwed up. |
