Looking for some information regarding my 8 year old dishwasher. The dishwasher was working perfectly fine until one day last week when I went to start it by pressing the start button and the dishwasher appears to have completely died. No noise, no lights flashing...nothing. I checked the 20 amp breaker that the dishwasher is connected to (nothing else shares this circuit), and it was not tripped. The breaker appears to work perfectly fine. I opened the console panel and checked to make sure that the door latch assembly worked by compressing the latch and I could see that the switches were being mechanically activated. The next step would be to check for continuity of the switches. What should my multimeter be switched to, to accomplish this? Also, I turned the breaker back on while I had the panel open and there is power to the two white connectors (see photo) going to the circuit board. Do I need a new circuit board? Thanks, Andrea

Here are your parts Parts for Kenmore Dishwasher 66516052402 - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet If you go to the Sears parts site they have actual parts breakdowns but they do not share theses with other vendors. Could be the fuse has blown. If you click on a part's picture or description in AppliancePartsPros a new page will open with more info on that parts. There is a video about the fuse. If the fuse is blown be sure to use the new harness that comes with the replacement. What should my multimeter be switched to, to accomplish this? Be sure that power is removed from the unit. Use the most sensitive resistance scale. It is a goods idea to short the meter leads together before starting so you can see if there is a zero offset in the meter. The switches should measure 0 ohms when closed.
