I am having an issue with water leaking from the door. I have traced the leak to water actually entering the interior frame of the door between the glass and the grey plastic retainer.

When I pulled the grey retainer ring from around the glass, I found that there is nothing to actually form a seal between the glass and plastic. I thought that maybe it was a missed part install at the factory, but looking at an exploded parts diagram, there is no seal listed.

I have tried putting a bead of silicone on the glass and the grey ring but the door flexes too much for the silicone to stay sealed. Seems to be an engineering defect to me but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has run into this before and what they did to fix it.

The leak is at the bottom of the door between parts 282 and 233 in a diagram I got from Sears Parts Direct.
