Our washer stopped agitating during a wash cycle and blew the breaker. It hums but won't spin or agitate on any cycle. I pulled the motor and checked it and it works. The coupler assembly is fine. The transmission spins freely in both directions. I don't know what else to check. Please help

Could be something jamming the drain pump, did you try running it with pump pulled away from the motor?

I just tried to turn it manually with a screw driver and it will not turn. Should I attempt to clear it or just replace it? Thanks

Take the hoses off and check inside, might be a sock stuck in there. Put a pan under it first as there will be water in there.

Thank you so much for your input! There was, indeed, a sock stuck in the drain pump. It works great again
