I have a bottom freezer on my maytag fridge, and once a week I have to clear out a very thick layer of ice that forms at the bottom of the freezer, as it starts to overflow with water onto my floor. We have looked for a drain hose, or anything that could be clogged and can't find anything of the sort. Could someone advise on how to stop the ice from collecting, and where there may be a valve as we can't find anything, and/or a schismatic of where to find and fix. thanks

Here are your parts Parts for Maytag MFF2258VEW2 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comThe drain hole should be under under the evaporator coils (drain pan) in the freezer. Take a look at item 24 in section 01. Looks like this may be a known problem and ther is a kit to fix it. Click on the parts picture or description for more views of it and info in the Q&A section. |
