I have a built in GE Monogram side/side and it is very built in, would be very hard to replace. first my water line cracked and leaked, (hose from pump to ice), then (hose in at pump), repairman "fixed" both, I replaced hose from pump to bladder in fridg last year, still good. Now line in at turnoff valve in cupboard broke and leaked, (no big deal I will fix) Problem is both fridg & freezer now warm, could any of above be related? Also when warm 1st noticed I unplugged & replugged power, when unplugged fridg made sound similar to R2-D2 getting shot and dying? I am affraid what this could be? Motherboard? shouls I check all the regulars? Thermostat, defrost timer, force cycle, etc. I've been reading this seems to be the norm. Pls advise all suggestions needed...

If the compressor is in the back, the water leak may have blown the start device on the side of the compressor.
