My wife was using our oven to make lunch for my kids when there was a sudden power outage. It was out for 15-20 minutes before service was restored. When the power came on the oven appeared to still not have power. When I got home I checked the breaker, which was fine. I then slid the oven out and tested to see if it had power getting up to the unit, which it does but the digital display is blank and the oven will not work at all. Any troubleshooting tips??

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool WOS51EC0AS01 / - AppliancePartsPros.comThe tech sheet is too big to attach here so I have had to use a third party site, see below. Unclick the Use our Download Manager as this may put software on your computer that you do not want. Then use the grey download button. Download WOS51EC.pdfWhen you checked the power did you check L1 to Neutral for 120 volts? This is the side of the line that powers the control board and the oven light. Have you tried removing power from it (shut off the breaker) for a few minutes to see if it will reset? Remove power from it and check the therm,al fuse (item 7 in section 04). It should be 0 ohms. If the above are OK then odds are that the control board is blown. |
