I have a question with my Thermador range. When trying to use the gas oven it won't heat up.

My initial assumption was the igniter might be burned out but both top heating elements work fine when using the broil function (can visibly see the heating element glowing and the flames stay lit)

Could be a spark module instead (bosch p/n 6186240)?

Thanks in advance!

So doing a bit more research - I think it still might be an igniter issue. My range has two at the top, should I purchase both or is one side specific to the oven?

So I bought a spark igniter for the oven and replaced it on the bottom of the oven. Oven is still not heating up and I don't see a spark when it "clicks" on.

What should be my next step?

altoidnsx,

I have the exact same problem, although I have not done any trouble shooting past pulling out the pan in the bottom and seeing no spark on the spark module and nothing on the rectangular glow igniter. Did you get an answer? Was it the board or the ingiter(s). Thx

I changed out the spark igniter and it still did not work. I ended up calling a repair person out who changed the spark module and voila!

It looked like an easy job and took him a few minutes to do. Remove the right side nut underneath the star burners with a 20mm and take off the panel. On the right hand side is the module (grey box), remove it and swap in the new one.

Good luck!
