Hey friends I have an LG fridge, model number lfc20760SW I find that the fridge part is plenty cool, but the freezer does not cool at all. I put it into test most already, and everything kicks on, the compressor, the fan, and air blows out of both the fridge and freezer. I took the cover off the freezer and let it run for a bit, and noticed ice buildup in just the beggining of the pipes. Any idea what this could be? Here are your parts Parts for LG LFC20760SW / ASWCLGY Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comLooks like a sealed system problem. If it is this will be an expensive repair and often it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit. I find that the fridge part is plenty cool, but the freezer does not cool at all. The above has me stumped as it looks like a single evaporator unit so all cooling comes from the evaporator in the freezer. Also not sure why you had to go into test mode. Are the compressor and fans running all the time except when the unit goes through a defrost cycle (not in test)? This would be a symptom of a sealed system problem. Below is a link take a look at the exaple pictures about half way down the page. http://www.applianceaid.com/ref...ator-not-cold-enough.php |
