Found refrigerator not cool and freezer thawing. Power is on to lights but fan and compressor not running at all. Checked compressor for continuity and readings were 4, 6, and 10. So we think compressor is still good. Even if compressor was bad the fan should still be running ( was with last fridge that lost compressor). Doing most simple repair first we ordered and replaced the run capacitor and the start relay. Installed those today and still no power. No idea what to check next. Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated!!

Here are your parts
Parts for Kenmore Refrigerator 10657022601 - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

If you go to the Sears parts site they have part breakdown diagrams.
Unfortunately they do not share theses with other part vendors.

If the compressor and fans do not run then it is not a compressor problem.
They are wired in parallel so when one is on they all should be on.

I am assuming tat the unit has been unplugged and it made no difference.

The problem is probably either the main control thermostat or the adaptive defrost board.

Unplug the unit.
Short the two wires at the thermostat together, just be sure they cannot short to anything else.
Then plug the unit in.

If it fires up, I would replace the thermostat.

If it does nothing, I would replace the defrost board.

Checked the main thermostat with digital ohm meter with thermostat on highest setting. Got no reading on it. No circuit at all. Looks like the thermostat just died all together. So nothing there to tell the fridge to turn on. Now looks like we are replacing the thermostat. Have done this repair before a few years ago.
Thank you again for your assistance.
