HELP!!!! I am a single mom of 5 and I dropped a plastic oxiclean lid in my lint trap by accident and i can not see or feel to retrieve it. I checked the back and it has not come out that way. I felt a fan thing when i put my hand up back part of dryer. I have tried using a coat hanger from the top of the dryer down the lint vent but no luck. I am afraid i will destroy my dryer or cause a fire.. :(

Here are your parts Parts for Amana NED4600YQ0 / - AppliancePartsPros.com It should help you see how the unit is put together. Watch the video, only some parts of it will apply to your repair. So your procedure would be: Unplug the dryer. Remove the back panel. Remove the screen filter from the unit. Remove the two screws that hold the filter housing to the top. Remove the screws that hold the filter housing from the back of the unit. Carefully remove the filter housing so you can get at the blower wheel to get the oxyclean lid out. If you have trouble removing the filter housing (it is grabbing wires etc., then you may have to open up the top but you should not have to remove the front/door of the unit. When you reassemble it put the two screws that hold the filter housing to the top in first as trying to line them up when the housing is screwed to the back can be a pain.
