I have a maytag washer. It will not stop filling up.once it reaches the water level it will start to agitate but the water will still run. Need help

Model number??? Does it stop filling if you turn washer off or unplug it?

No I have to turn the water off from the wall. I think this is the model number mvwc300vw0
