Ordered Part# 8203536 which is verified replacement 1000/2400 watt infinite switch for LF burner.

Problem is wiring codes & terminal #s don't match. ie:

Original switch:
Terminal # 1 Dk Red location on old switch Left side middle
2 Black Left bottom
3 Dk Red Rt bottom
4 Brown Rt Top
5 Red Left Top
6 Orange Rt side middle

Replacement 8203536 instructions read:
Old Switch connect to New switch
Terminal # Terminal #
2 P1
3 4
4 4a
5 S2
N or Brown wire 2
N or Red wire P2

Both N's don't conform. There is 1 Brown & 1 Red. They are sent to 4a & S2, per the instructions.
This leaves 1 Dk Red (#1 term) & 1 orange (#6 term) with no place to go.

What is correct terminal & color code for new switch?

Hi i replaced that same burner control (LF kitchenaid ceramic top)and the burner works, but the 'pilot lamp' for the LR burner comes on and stays on...
i went to investigate and started looking at those pin labels and , ya, something seems a bit weird.
i took before and after pics which perhaps would help. hmm.

-back in a bit.
