Within the last year I have been storing more items in the freezer to where it is loaded pretty much full. When it is full the refrigerator will start warming up. As things get used, the refrigerator will cool back down. Sometimes the refrigerator stays nice & cold for a month or so. This has only been going on for about 3 or 4 months. Last week we put new things in the freezer and the refrigerator warmed to where the milk curdled. I took all the things out of the freezer and took them to someone else's house & now the freezer & refrigerator are both cold. The back wall of the freezer has some build up of condensation on it. About five years ago I replaced the coils in the back of the freezer as well as the defrost timer.

Is this simply my overloading the freezer or should it be able to freeze the amount that the freezer can hold?

I am at a decision point now though. The utility company is offering me a free simple white refrigerator to get rid of this older refrigerator, no bells & whistles. Or do I keep this older model side-by-side with water & ice in the door & repair it? It feels like the coils in the back again.
