I replaced the defrost timer on the fridge, everything works OK but the fridge cuts out for 55 minutes during the defrost cycle, is this to long or is it the normal time.

I do not have any tech info on this unit so the below is just a guess.

The timer should program a defrost cycle every 16 hours and it should last 35 minutes.

The above is only if the timer is wired in the continuous mode.

If wires in the cumulative mode it only advances when the main control thermostat is closed.
Check your freezer temperature it should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.
Could be the control thermostat is open for some time during defrost so the timer does not advance.
