Hey Guys. I've got a GE Front loader that recently started making a banging noise while it runs. If I turn the drum manually I can hear and feel it dragging against something for about 1/8 of the rotation, then it's fine again for the remaining 7/8 of the rotation.

Any ideas on what it might be, or how to diagnose further?
Thanks much!

This is a Frigidaire model sold under the GE label. Take off the top and the back panel and look for a problem with the counter weights or the support structure.

Here is a link to the service manual for your model.

Thank you for your help. I tried the things you suggested, and didn't see anything obvious. The machine was old enough, that I just decided to get a new one.

Good decision, these Frigidaire models have limited life, even when sold under the GE label.
