Hi, I'm looking for advice on my ~15yr old Neptune frontloader.
The inner drum is not centered and lays on the bottom of the outer basket. I can lift it up a good inch to the center.
Is this a common symptom of the infamous bearing issue? Or is this something else. I have heard the loud jet sound for at least the past year (so I know the bearing is at least an issue) but only recently did it start rocking along the sides and make very bad sounds. I haven't used it since.
I'd like to know if it's worth pursuing the bearing repair or if this is something more serious that I'd need to replace the washer/dryer stack altogether.
Thanks for any input! -Brian from NJ
