Model # WFW9550WL01 Whirlpool Duet Washer.

Acts like it works, turn it on, door locks, but it never fills with water or starts agitating. The timer goes down like it normally would, but it stops at 1 minute, and the door never unlocks and it doesn't finish. All the while the close have never been washed. You have to push the pause/cancel button, and the door will finally unlock after a few minutes and the washer goes off. We have tried to unplug it, cleaned the filter, and made sure the water intake filters were also clean.

On my washer it was the motor control board. I purchased one online and fixed it myself. I ran a diagnostic on the washer, and during the diagnostic the drum never turned, so I figured it had to be the motor control board, since the belt looked fine and the drum turned easily by hand. You can usually find the repair manual, which will tell you how to run the diagnostic, when you remove the front lower panel of the washer. It was really pretty easy to fix it, but the part cost around $150 or $175. Good luck!!

Oh, and the motor control board on my unit is towards the front of the washer on the left hand side (if you are facing the washer). It has a white case around it, and it comes with the same case. You just unhook all the cables, and rehook them on the new one. Need small fingers to do this, but I'm a woman so it was easy for me.
