Motor overheats and overloads trip. After motor cools, the washer will go into the spin cycle but has a high pitched whine. Also growls/takes while agitation cycle.. Clutch, brake or transmission?
Thank you in advance for your help,
Don

Take off the cabinet and see if there is oil spray on the inside. If so the problem is your transmission. Even if there is not oil spray you still need to check the transmission as it is the likely culprit. If the transmission checks out the issue could be the motor, but this is less likely.
