(Oops. I don't see way to update the title. What I meant was, replace the bearings or just get a new washer altogether.)

Hello everyone,

My Neptune MAH3000, coming up on 15 years, is getting louder during the spin cycle. I think the bearings are going bad.

Six years ago I did the wax motor repair myself, so I am a little handy. The instructions I found for doing the bearing replacement seems doable, if somewhat a long process.

My question is, considering the age of my Neptune, should I not bother, as more and more things will break, or is the repair worth the effort?

Thank you!

We get a lot of vary hard questions on this Forum, but this is not one of them.

By all means replace the machine. If you got 15 years of use out of this terrible trouble plagued model you have won the washing machine jackpot. Celebrate by congratulating yourself with a new machine.

Thanks. I needed to hear some advice in line with what I am leaning towards anyway. Hopefully, my next washer will last as long, but with less problems.
