I removed the freezer door switch, at the top of the freezer section. This switch controls the freezer lights, and is activated when the freezer door is opened.
The wires that are connected to this switch are too short. I cannot pull them out to put the switch back in. the videos that I watched on YouTube show that the wires extend. Mine don't

I am not sure how they actually manufacture these unit so the following is more of a guess.
If they install thet switch and then fill the cavity with foam insulation then perhaps the foam is holding thw wires. I would try gently pulling on the wires with a pair of needlenose pliers. Pull on the wires not the connectors.
If that does not work you will have to make a couple short wires with the proper connectors. |
