Recently, my washer was making a horrible sound during the spin cycle. I took off the pump and motor. I found a small necklace jammed in the pump. I was able to get it out. I re-assembled the motor and pump. However, now when the washer reaches the spin cycle, it moves extremely slow (sometimes not at all). The clutch gets extremely hot. I tore it back apart to make sure the clutch had tension and it seems good. I am trying to figure out if I did something wrong on re-assembly -or- what else would cause it to not spin now?

Without being there to see it I can only guess that maybe the coupling is jamming. If in addition to slow spin the water is slow to drain then that is probably the problem, although something could be jamming the transmission also to slow the motor.
If the water drains with the same force as normal then the clutch may be the problem even though you cannot see any issues. Trying replacing it and see if that fixes things.
