Hi my dishwasher pump stays on when cycle has finished and wont let me reset the programe. Water is draining ok. Can anyone help:(

I'm having the same issue with our GE PDW9880NSS. The pump stays on after the dishwasher has drained. Even after we've emptied the dishwasher, when we close the door the pump comes on again. I've done a basic visual/manual inspection of the float and it seems to be functioning (I haven checked it with a multi-meter). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Upon further investigation, I believe my issue is not with the "Pump Assembly" but the "Dryer Fan" I think I may start my own thread as it's a different issue and a different appliance.
