Yesterday, my dishwasher stopped working properly. I have found that a wash cycle will start with water filling into the tub, but it is then drained at the time that washing/rinsing should start. I have checked the overfill float and it isn't jammed or stuck. Another thread in the forum for another Whirlpool model mentioned something about a "pressure switch" but I didn't know if that would also apply here.

First time dealing with a dishwasher so I appreciate any advice you can provide.

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool DUL300XTLQ1 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

The pressure switch is Item 46 in section 07.

Unplug the unit and one wire from the switch.
Just make sure it cannot short to anything else.
Plug it in and give it a try.
If the unit now works you nnow that either the switch needs replacing or your pump/drain needs a good cleaning.
