i unclogged the drain of this freezer today and got a snake all the way down.
I do no have the manual and would like to see specs on the freezer.
I need to know why it has been running all day. it is not icing over at this point. I don't know where the fan is or the drain if there is one. I suspect there might be some water I need to drain and or evaporator pads that need cleaning?
thanks

Here are your parts
Parts for Frigidaire FFU17FC5CW0 Freezer - AppliancePartsPros.com

The water drains into the drain cup (item 105 in section 07) which sits on top of the compressor (I think).

Check that the compressor is running, usually you can hear it but you should also be able to feel it vibrating.

If it is on all the time other than when the unit goes through a defrost cycle and you are not getting any cooling then it is a sealed system problem.

This will be an expensive repair as you need a pro often it makes more sense to put the dollars towards a new unit.

the freezer works fine! I just need to know if I need to take the panel above the drain area off and make sure there is no water in there.
I don't have a manual for some reason. it is now quiet some of the time as compared to yesterday. I an hear water dripping at times as well so it is no longer icing up. perhaps I should give it a few days.
thanks

Sorry but I do not follow.

I am not sure what panel you are referring to.

Also you said "I need to know why it has been running all day."
I thought you meant the compressor was always running which points to a problem with the freezer.
