Hi everyone. I've been reading and searching to find out why my fridge and freezer won't get cold. I got this fridge from a friend that was moving. It hasn't been used for 2 months. I plug it in, the evap fan kicks on, compressor starts running, fan to circulate inside is running. Capacitor looks new, relay makes no noise when shook. Tested compressor, reads .00,.00&.01 on the terminals. The service mood says everything is fine. It has refrigerant, no leaks. Is there anything else I can test and how? Any info or recommendation's would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

If the compressor is vibrating, but the condenser coils in the back are not hot, you have either a clogged capillary tube, or no refrigerant.

The compressor hums and slight vibration. It sounds like the compressor won't kick to push anything. Is there a way to unclog it? It has refrigerant. Thank you for your help. It's much appreciated.

Try a new start device on the side of the compressor, might fix it.

I'm curious. Should the suction side be hooked to anything or just crimped. Mandirigma attached the following image(s):
