I am a renter, so do not have the original manual that came with this over, and it's no longer available online. Troubleshooting, here!
This oven needs to be set about 25-50 degrees lower than the bake temperature desired to achieve the desired baking result (ex: to reach 350, I set between 300 and 325--it's a guess, always). BUT, once a temp is set, baking completes, and even with timer set for the least amount of time, the baked item is still too brown and often, overdone.
At first, I thought I might need a new baking element, but then I heard that as long as it's heating, don't replace the element. It's definitely heating!
Could it be the sensor? Only a few parts for this oven are still available. No sensor; only the thermostat bulb and insulation.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might do (parts, testing, etc.)?
BTW, the broiler and stovetop units (except for one that's a bit slow to heat up) work fine.
Thanks!
