I am installing a control panel and I wrote down where the wires go but forgot to note the color. There is a black wire and a white wire and they either go on L1, NB or N. Does anybody know which goes with which?

Here is a service manual http://appliancejunk.com...&id=390;t=1397997369You will have to join the site and be logged in to download the manual. The wiring diagrams for your unit are on Pages 6-1 1nd 6-2. Looks like NB is not used. L1 is black N (Neutral) is white |

I found my manual, thanks. I installed this controller after my previous one went bad. The new one worked fine except the upper oven light wouldn't turn off. I called customer service and they sent out a new one. The new controller did the same thing, the upper oven light wouldn't go off no matter how many times you pressed the button. I needed the oven so I just left it in. I did not touch anything, but later in the day the upper oven light started working. Everything seems to be fine now but I notice that the upper oven light comes on when I open the door, but the lower oven light does not come on when I open the lower door, but the lower oven light switch works fine. Does this sound like a defective unit too?

No I do not think it is a bad board but cannot say what the problem is.
It would be very, very unlikely that you would get two boards that gave these symptoms.
The first thing I would do is check the lower oven lamp with a meter just to be sure it is not burned out. Next I would check the lower oven door switch. |

If I do need a new switch, is AP4093988 the correct part number? It is hard to tell from the diagram. Is it the same switch for the top and bottom ovens?
