My washer will spin in the WASH mode but doesnt agitate, it even spins in the RINSE mode but NO agitation--The 2 belts are good-even put belt dressing on them to try to resolve the problem-The tranny doesnt seem to make any noises, the plastic agitator itself is not making any noises--the plastic agitator seems to be held by 1 tiny bolt but doesnt seem to have "dogs" --It seems to be HARD mounted to the shaft--I am thinking there is a problem with the timer cycles not allowing the signals to get to the motor to switch "back and forth" for agitation--Please help

Are you saying that the tub spins when in agitation cycle? Or motor is running, but no agitation or spin until timer gets to spin cycle? The motor does not run back and forth to produce agitation. Agitation back and forth motion is produced by the transmission. The motor runs continuously in one direction for agitation and the opposite direction for spin. Tilt the machine back, remove dust cover from center pulley. Rotate center pulley CCW by hand while someone observes the agitator. If the stop lug and screw at very bottom center of pulley (bottom of transmission input shaft) are rotating but agitator does not move, the transmission is bad.
