We are renting an apartment with a Bosch SHU5306UC/U11 dishwasher. (Not really sure how old it is.)

I have never been able to change the choice of cycles, but since it seemed stuck on Delicate/Econo I was okay with it. At first I was able to start the cycle immediately or to choose a 1 or 2 hour delay. It still says Delicate/Econo but I'm unable to start the dishwasher immediately - it defaults to "2 hour" but starts immediately. If I change it to 1 hour as soon as 2 hour shows up, it does delay 1 hour but seems to run forever.

In reading some of the previous blog postings, I'm guessing I need a new control module. But, will it fix both problems? (Choice of cycle AND start time?)
thanks,
Anna

Have you tried to double click the other cycle buttons? If I recall correctly, you need to press the button twice to change cycles.

Regarding the "2h", if the "h" is lower case, it's not in delay. This code is telling you that the estimated time of completion is going to be longer than 99 minutes. Because the display has only 2 digits, it can't display 100 or more minutes. If the "h" is a capital, it is in delay, but you should be able to advance it upto 19 hours.

Because the estimated time of completion is an average of the last 5 wash cycles, the "running forever" has caused the time to increase beyond 99 minutes. The cause of the long run time is usually a lack of heating, which is most commonly caused by the control board.

Thanks for the info - very helpful! Especially the info about changing cycles. In the meantime, the dishwasher decided not to drain away the water, so a repairman has been called.

Again, I do appreciate your response!
