Posting again as I haven't received any replies... I just changed the water filter in my Kitchen aid side-by-side refrigerator as I have done for the last 4 years. However, the water dispenser was not putting out as much power and was making a whining noise. I took out the new filter just to see if it didn't seat correctly and water sprayed out all over the place. I have tried to take it out and put it back several times but there is still water spraying all over the floor. It is coming from the inside of the slot where the filter goes in. It stops when I put the filter back in but obviously is not right. Any suggestions? Do I need a new filter housing (I saw this suggestions in several posts)? If so, what is the part number and process to change it out? Thank you for the help. Read more: http://forum.appliancepartspros...using.html#ixzz2wKPqzAV2 http://forum.appliancepartspros.com
