My dryer quit working so I started checking the fuses and element. Found the thermal fuse blown, the heating element blown and the thermostat part # 8577891 had shorted out and broken apart. So when i picked up the replacement parts. Got what I thought was everything. Got home and started installing everything and when I started replacing this thermostat and realized what they gave me was a thermal cut off kit. Well when I called them they told me that it's what is used to replace the original part. And it would work. My issue is that the original part had two small red wires that had a connector at the end of them and I do not have a place to plug them in. So I called back and was told that this would adapt and to read the instructions. But they talk about 1 wire, not 2. Will this work.?
