Hello there
We have a Kenmore Elite dishwater that leaks a bit of water from the bottom of the machine .The water appears at the end of the cycle .It seems to be from under the motor .
What are the possible issues that i need to check
would appreciate any assistance

You need to find the leak location.
Remove the kick plate. A mirror and a flashlight come in handy when tracing leaks. The ideal is a mechanic's mirror which is like a dentist's mirror just bigger. In a pinch you can tape a small mirror onto a dowel at an angle. A woman's compact on a dowel will also work.
Sometimes it is difficult to find the source as the water will run down wires/parts and the just drip off a low point.
Be careful when doing this, you do not want to get a shock. |

The location of the leak is under the motor ..it seems to do it at the end, when it drains the water .My concern is if the motor could have a problem or would it be most likely that the tubes would be the source
Thanks

This 665 model IIRC has the filter in the pump, and the pump is prone to 2 issues causing leakage. The outlet boot separates from the sump, and the diverter motor leaks. How much water does it leak?

Whirlpool W10056429 PUMP&MOTOR - AppliancePartsPros.comRectangular box with the hole towards the center of the assembly is the diverter motor, it sits to the LH side under the dishwasher, is this where the leak is comming from? If so you probably need the pump assembly that I listed there, plus run some fine sandpaper in the wire harness plug nearest the hole. This assembly does take some finesse to install....

What i did is i started a quick rinse and once it was done with the water grab i clicked cancel and it started pumping all the water out .I kept on monitoring under the dishwasher but nothing leaked.I am running the full rinse cycle now to see I have taken a picture of the leak .it seems to be dripping from directly underneath the dishwasher PicPaste - dishwater_leak-HrdcOxan.jpgwhen looking from underneath the below pic is where it was wet http://picpaste.com/dishwater_leak2-1iq3H3u8.jpg

Yup, seen that many times..... Needs a new sump (the diverter motor is leaking at the sump seal, the sump seal is not available separate, ordere the whole sump assembly, should come with diverter motor IIRC and take some fine grit sandpaper thru that connector that is green (the contacts that are up in the motor currently) when you install new sump.)
