Top oven heating element does not heat. I have already replaced the element. What could be the problem?

I received feedback stating the igniter in my electric range may be defective, however, I cannot find that part. Would that part serve for gas range?

Ignitors are used in gas ranges, that being said you probably have an open trace or burnt up relay on the EOC (the electronic control). You would want to test for power out of the EOC (start by putting a DVOMs leads on the 2 termianls on the bake element (back off unit). Work way up to EOC.
