Fell in love with and bought this new Whirlpool French door fridg in March 2012, from our local Whirlpool dealer. Wanted to keep our business local so we paid for it big time. Anyway, the fridg is now about 2 years old & in the past 2 months or so I've noticed water on the floor beside the fridg about 2-4 times a week. Can't trace any water trail coming from the fridg but it just can't be anything else. My guess is that the 'trail' that leads to the puddle is drying before I catch it.
Long story short, this model does have in the door ice & water dispensers. I opened the bottom drawer of the freezer today and found that the floor of the freezer is completely iced over, deep enough for the ice to be touching the bottom of the freezer drawer when sliding it in or out. That would be about 2 inches deep and completely full! I've done some online research already and it seems that maybe the drain plug is clogged?
I found step by step instructions somewhere online, but lost track of that page. Wondering if you guys can give me the steps to getting to that drain plug & also how to get into the back of the unit to check the rubber grommet on the fill tube? Hope my questions make sense.
It is really cold here right now, so we can set our frozen foods outside without fear of losing them to the heat. Would like to get this taken care of tomorrow if at all possible.
We love this fridg and until now have not had any problems with it. Hoping a clogged drain plug is the only problem and that we can fix it ourselves, soon!
Thanks for any help you can give us!

Geezey petes! After re-reading my post several times, I realize I didn't ever really ask my question! That question is: How do we remove the bottom freezer drawer to get to the floor of the freezer & the inside back panel?
