THe oven just heated to 275. Google said probably a temp probe. Repair guy came, was checking voltage on lower element. He did not unplug stove when reinstalling ellement and a big spark came out of oven. He said he pulled the wire off ellement when he jerked. He then said conrole board is bad and is no longer available. The board needs to be sent in for repair 10-14 days. He then gives me a $877 estimate and a recomendation for $85 ellement replacement. I have found the control board several places on line (normal source not ********) for $200 and now the oven does not heat up at all. I feel like he burn something out and is snowing me with the repair cost. Is it possible he fried the control board when he shorted the ellement wires?
