The dishwasher will not fill at the beginning of the cycle. There is no current at the plug that connects to the water control valve. There's power to the machine since the pump works. I've checked continuity from the valve connector to the timer connector and its OK. And I have continuity from where dishwasher is wired into the house wiring to the timer connector. It appears there's no current getting through the portion of the timer the controls the watervalve. My local appliance repair man says it very unusual for a timer to be faulty like this, but it seems like the only explanation. Am I missing something, or should I order a new timer?

Thanks!
