This dryer operates fine in manual mode but will not bring the burner on in the sensor mode. I initially thought the moisture sensors were the problem then i realized that they are just probes and not thermistors.

Are you just testing or do you actually have wet clothes in the dryer? Control board must sense wet clothes via the sensor bars. Clean the bars. Check continuity between bars and control board connector. Also check resistance across wires (pink and orange). Should read infinity with no clothes, and approx 190 ohms ±10% with wet clothes.
