I have a Whirlpool LSQ8243HQ0. It goes through all cycles except rinse and spin. It sounds like it is trying to get there but it doesn't spin and drain. THe model number is LSQ8243HQ0. IS this a belt problem? If so is there directions on how to replace the belt and order a belt? Your help is appreciated.

No belt on this machine. What do you mean when you say "it sounds like it is trying to get there"? After agitation stops, does the motor start running again but no drain? If motor does not start again after agitation stops and motor is silent, then you probably have a bad lid switch.

Once it gets to the spin cycle the machine makes a noise. I tried to put it on a different cycle to get it to spin and nothing. It will not spin and ultimately drain the water. I need to figure out what is wrong so I can get the part and fix it.

At the end of agitation, the motor should stop for a few seconds, then start again at which point the washer should drain only. You need to take the cabinet off and bypass the lid switch to troubleshoot this problem. Pull the pump off the back of the motor and set to spin. Does motor shaft rotate? Motor just humming? Can you rotate the motor shaft CW by hand?
