I am rebuilding my old dryer. I ordered a drum shaft bearing kit, an idler pulley, a new drive belt, and a pair of front drum slides. Are there plastic bearings for the idler pulley, or does it just ride right on the spring arm? What kind of lubrication is required for the rear drum shaft bearing I'm replacing? Is lubrication needed for the slides and the idler pulley? If so, what kind? Thanks, JC

You can use the SAE 30 for the idler pulley and the sil-glide lubricant for the drum bearing. The slides do not need lubrication. Gene.

Thanks Gene, should I attempt to oil the motor shaft bearings while I have it apart?

The proper lubrication would not damage the motor. You can use the SAE 30 for the motor bearings too.
