My GE Profile washer won't go into spin and drain mode on any cycle. The pump is fine and the lid switch is working. Could it be the timer? It fills and agitates on every cycle but then just sits. I can hear it humming like the motor is still running. The knob broke a while ago so we've been just manually turning the dial. Could that have damaged the timer?

Yes, it's probably the timer especially since it won't drain (drain pump won't run?) but you say pump is fine. If you buy the timer from APP and it doesn't fix the problem, you may return it.
