I've done all of the obvious fixes on the washer, but it still won't go.

Washer fills to the correct level, but will not agitate or spin. Timer moves as normal. Drain pump activates at the proper point in the cycle.

Bypassed the lid switch with no change. Spent the really big bucks on a new motor assembly, with similar disappointing results. Tried a timer from a known good washer and still no action.

It's really acting like the lid switch is defective, but I've tried bypassing it and finally replacing it with a new one. Still dead.

I should have abandoned this washer before I replaced the motor, but I'm too far into it to turn back now.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you ever check for the flashing LED indicator on the motor inverter board? If no LED, then fuse could be blown. Unplug washer, check continuity between neutral of power plug (wide blade) and wht/red wire of inverter board leftmost connector. If open, fuse is blown. Fuse link is in wiring run to right of tub. Remove tape to expose fuse link.

Thanks for your answer.

The LED is not lit.

I saw what might be the fuse you referred to in the length of wires to the right of the tub, but those wires appear to run to the pump, so I didn't think that would be the problem (pump works). Am I looking in the wrong place?

Ah, I found it. Thanks! :)

Any idea of what the spec on that fuse is? I'm sure I can get one from my local electrical supply a lot quicker and cheaper than I can from GE.

Where did you get your new motor/inverter from? New replacement motor/inverters are different than original and require removal of the fuse. The new motor/inverter should have come with a jumper kit to replace the current fuse that you have. The new motors have a higher in-rush current that will blow the fuse. Fuse is no longer required with these motors and must be jumped out.

Well, you're right, Eric. There was a jumper wire in the box. I'll splice it in and report back.

Thanks for your help!
