Hi, I inherited a gas range. I believe it is KGSI901PBL00 based on searching for a part number on the range, but the range actually has no identification label. It sounds like the KGSI901PBL00, though. Here is a photo of it: I ran the Self Clean mode and after about 45 minutes, the control panel went dark and the oven died. I wish I had read more on the internet before doing that. Killing/resetting the power did not help, the control panel is still dark. I've read some of the other threads on this message board but they are a bit confusing to me. Under my control panel, I have two things that look identical to the thermal control fuse. Left (with red dot. currently has continuity): I believe this is a thermal control fuse. I believe that it is functional since it has continuity. Right (with no dot. currently open): I believe this is a thermostat. I believe that it is functional since it is open. Since my fuse has continuity, am I correct in my understanding that the problem is likely due to a thermal control fuse accessible via the back of the oven? What is the part number? Is there anything else I should probably replace? Thanks for any help. Please let me know if my understanding is incorrect.
