I have a 20 year old kenmore washer. It will fill and agitate, but only hums when it should drain and/or spin. I pulled the all the hoses off, no blockage, and the pump impeller seamed to move freely. Transmission?

Thanks,
Ron

Pull the pump off and move it aside, will it spin now? If no, spin motor shaft CW as fast as you can while it's humming. Will it start? If no, pull motor and set on floor still hooked up and try again. Spin shaft by hand if it still just hums. Will it start? Post clear hi-res photo of your wiring diagram. Should be inside control panel. Don't leave motor humming except for quick testing, bad for capacitor and motor windings.
