Our Kenmore Stackable, model #417.94702300, is leaking from the water inlet. Its a slow drip and is occurring when the machine is not in use.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks,
Mike

I m not sure where your leak is.
If it is where the water hose connects to the water inlet valve then it may be as simple as replacing the rubber washer in the hose connection.
Note that if your hoses are over 5 years old it would probably be a good idea to change them. Especially if they are stiff and or have small cracks on the exterior. |

Actually its dripping from the water inlet in side at the top of the tub. So my only conclusion is that the inlet valve is starting to fail.

I agree with you. I would replace the valve ASAP before it does not close at all and you end up with a flood.
In the mean time I would shut off the water supply to it when it is not in use. |
