I am having issues with the spin cycles. Basket wont spin until I get it spinning by hand, once I get it spinning it builds up speed. I can stop the basket easily. The washer drains fine and I can hear the motor running. I am thinking the clutch but I am not sure.

A worn clutch is the most likely culprit but a worn drive block can cause this problem as well. Remove the agitator to inspect the top of the drive block. Check that the slots in the block are intact as well as the tabs on the drive tube and that they are fully engaged. Remove the clip and plastic washer from the agitator shaft if your washer has them to be able to see the drive block.
