In Normal cycle, the DW does not fill enough. I can hear the pump starve for water at each stage in the cycle (pump get loud and then quieter once water drains back to inlet). I add 1 -2 qts of water at each stage and the washer is much quieter and the dishes get really clean (zero residue). I tested the supply water to machine, it runs about 4 gal/min. Also checked fill solenoid (disconnected output hose into bucket) and at the 1st stage fill of 1:40 the fill is about 1.4 gal of water, not enough to reach the bottom of the heater. Lastly the 1st fill runs for 55sec when the pump starts (fill continues) but there is not enough water for pump stops to complete the 1min 40sec then fill stops and pump starts. I checked over fill switch and float and all is clean and free moving. Questions Is the 1min 40 sec enough to fill and is the 1.4gal a correct volume for each stage. The way I see it, it is either the solenoid or the control board. Any ideas? Thanks!

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool KUDP01DLBS2 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. The fill times look OK. When you checked the water valve did you check the screen filter on the input side of the valve? If it is dirty, clean it. Do not permanently remove it as it is there to keep crud out of the vale which could cause a flood. If the screen is clean then I would replace the valve, |
