I have an Amana ALG643RBW natural gas dryer. It began making a rattling sound right after startup and right after shutdown. Both would rattle for a second or two and then stop doing so. No issues with clothes drying.

I figured it was something with a bearing, so just replaced the drum support rollers, idler pulley, drum glides, and belt. One drum roller and the idler pulley were definitely having issues spinning, so my effort was not wasted there, but now the dryer is still making the rattling sound on start up and finish and now sounds slightly out of balance.

Any ideas on what may be making the rattle or what I may have done that is now causing it to be off balance?

I should add that it feels like the rattle may now be coming from the dryer motor. I can feel it when I put my hand against the lint ducting, which faces with the blower portion of the motor. Motor parts turned smoothly when I had the dryer apart. Is there still a chance a bearing in the motor has gone bad?
