Hello!
This is my first posting.
My Maytag front loading washer model MFW9700SQ1 just stopped working. It was mid-cycle when the machine stopped, displayed an F11 code and started beeping.
I did some research and first checked for obstructions in the water inlets and drain outlets, but they were both clear. I read on and found that the F11 code indicates a communication error between the main control board (CCU) and the motor control board (MCU), so I pulled off the top and front lower cover to check all of the connections. They all appeared tight, so I used the diagnostic guide that I found inside the washer to run a diagnostic cycle.
The cycle proceeded through C:00 - C:03, but then stopped before proceeding to C:04, which to me indicates that the fault lies in the motor or the motor control unit. The motor itself appears as new, and it's never made any funny noises, and it worked when I tried to re-run the cycle the first time the washer stopped, so it seems to me that I have a bad MCU.
Agree? Disagree? Anything I haven't done that I should have done/checked?
I appreciate any help that anyone here can give me.
